Black Cumin Seed and its Oil (also called Nigella sativa) is a natural dietary supplement, that has been used by various civilization around the world for centuries. It has been used both as a spice and flavoring agent in variety of food preparations, as well as a traditional medicine to address various animal and human ailments.
Due to its contribution to life, Black Cumin has a very rich history and it has been even called ”the seed of blessing”. Black cumin seeds have been found in the tomb of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen, as one of the several accompanying articles. Hippocrates and Dioscorides spoke about it as ‘Melanthion’, while the Bible describes it as the “curative black cumin” (Isaiah 28:25, 27 NKJV) (1). Based on all its history and recent science, some argue that this is one of the most powerful medicinal plants known to man.
Typically, black cumin oil contains 1.06 to 4.07 mg/g Thymoquinone and 32 to 40% fatty acids, such as linoleic acid (polyunsaturated omega 6 fatty acid). Next to this, black cumin oi also typically contains Phytosterols. The total sterols content of black cumin seed oil seems to be between 18 and 42%, while the major sterols identified were β-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, and 5-avenasterol (2).
All of the above components (Thymoquinone, Linoleic acid, Phytosterols) are known as outstanding compounds with important potential for applications related to human health support. While Thymoquinone is our preferred component that makes this dietary supplement special in our view, Phytosterols have been for example connected to maintenance of normal blood cholesterol concentrations (3).

My skin doesn't react well to most creams. This is one that my skin loves. This cream is light and hydrating for day time and can layer well under my heavier cream at night. Smells lovely like roses. Great ingredients. High integrity product.
