The Cherry Connector

1/2 cup frozen organic cherries
2 slices avocado
6 ounces plain cashew yogurt (I use Forager brand "Cashewgurt", or use our Cashew Crema recipe 
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp hemp seeds
2-5 drops liquid stevia or 1 frozen date for optional sweetness
2-3 tbsp grass-fed collagen powder *If you are vegetarian, omit the grass-fed collagen (and use a plant-based protein powder). If you're looking for extra connective tissue support, go for the building blocks of collagen in vegan form: add a teaspoon a food-based C powder (we love Truly Natural Vitamin C by Healthforce), and a teaspoon of Ojio MSM powder (a sulfur compound essential for cross-linking of collagen fibers) to your smoothie.


Combine all ingredients in a blender and process at high speed until thick and creamy.

Definitely helps

I’m not celiac but I am lactose & gluten intolerant. I avoid eating gluten always but sometimes I’m tempted by cheese. I recently ate some goat feta and I had no problems. I didn’t over unduly. Usually any amount of dairy causes me stomach pains and so much bloating. I don’t make a habit of taking this in a regular basis but it’s also come in very handy when I’ve gone out to eat or over to a friends (pre covid) and cheese has bean sprinkled on top and it’s always hard to remove it all.
